We work with Synology, UGREEN and UniFi (Ubiquiti). Synology is the market leader in software and reliability. UGREEN offers excellent hardware for the price. A NAS with RAID protects against disk failure, but isn't a backup in itself. We set up automatic backups: from workstations to the NAS, and from the NAS to an external location (second NAS or cloud service). This way you're protected against any scenario.
